Crescent City Physical Therapy (CCPT) has been a leader in Orthopaedic Outpatient Physical Therapy and Industrial Outpatient Rehabilitation in the Greater New Orleans Area for nearly 30 years.
Following a varied career that started as a Captain and physical therapist in the US Army Medical Specialist Corp during the Vietnam conflict, Virginia "Gini" Davis worked for nearly 15 years in a wide variety of physical therapy settings before she founded CCPT in April 1983. Gini owns and is President of CCPT, one of the most respected private physical therapy practices serving New Orleans, Metairie and surrounding areas. The company has been built on developing clinical competencey and specialization of treatment skills, along with the principle of working closely with referring medical practitioners and patients to promote the patient's physical therapy goals.
- CCPT provides the full range of Orthopaedic Outpatient Physical Therapy services including specialized treatments, such as manual therapy, soft tissue mobilization, ASTYM, specialized Foot/Ankle Treatment, Orthotics and shoe wear.
- CCPT provides physical therapy services to injured workers including treatment of acute orthopaedic injuries, stress, strains, and post surgical conditions of the spine and extremities. CCPT was the first practice in New Orleans to perform Functional Capacity Evaluations in 1985 along with other complimentary physical therapy services for industrial injury prevention and management.
- CCPT recognizes that outcome measures are important in the evaluation of the effectiveness of physical therapy services along with patient satisfaction. CCPT led the way by instituting an outcomes measurement process through FOTO (Focus on Therapeutic Outcomes) in the early 1990’s and has excelled in meeting standards for cost effectiveness and patient satisfaction ratings that are consistently 98%+, outranking national standards.
- Wellness services are also an important part of CCPT-provided programs, where our patients "graduate" and may return to CCPT to continue their exercise and activities. Our graduates are a source of pride in our clinic and provide support to those just entering the rehabilitative process.
An avid runner, Gini has always taken a special interest in the treatment of foot/ankle and lower extremity injury management. To further support this specialization and to meet the needs of patients with foot and ankle problems, Gini has established a Foot and Ankle Resource Center and opened a retail store where she offers shoes that feature Style and Comfort. Perfect Fit Shoes offers a collection of comfort couture shoes that appeal to a wide spectrum of women, with and without foot and ankle pain and other related foot issues. Specialty shoes are also available for men.
