Acute Care Orthopaedic Therapy
CCPT is owned and operated by an experienced Physical Therapist, who along with the rest of the staff are focused on working toward helping people reach their goals to Get Better. All of our professional staff are experienced and have attained advanced degrees and specializations over a broad spectrum of rehabilitation procedures and evidence-based treatment modalities. Physical therapists treat patients with a wide variety of orthopedic problems from the feet to the cervical spine, back, shoulders, elbows, hands, knees and hips/pelvis. Problems may be related to an acute injury or post-surgical; may be related to prevention, or may be restorative. Patients may be of any age, may be active or not very active, may be involved in sports activities, dance, recreation and/or wellness activities.
The focus of Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization (ASTYM) is to stimulate the rejuvenation and healing of degenerative tissue and to stimulate the resorption of scar tissue. This advanced, specialized treatment is provided by CCPT specially trained and certified physical therapists to patients who may benefit from this treatment to achieve their treatment goals.
Foot and Ankle Resource Center
Virginia Davis, PT, MA has 30-plus years of expertise in the Physical Therapy treatment of Foot/Ankle/Lower Extremity problems, whether through conservative management prior to (or instead of) surgery, following surgery, and/or other traumatic injury to these areas. Management not only includes physical therapy treatment, but also shoewear and over-the-counter or custom orthotics that may be necessary both short- and long-term. DSI Work Solutions (Functional Capacities Evaluations/FCEs)
The DSI (formerly Isernhagen) FCE is an internationally recognized, standardized assessment of an individual's physical ability to perform functional tasks. Most often completed to determine the injured worker’s ability to perform functional job tasks, the FCE may also be utilized for testing of individuals for other personal and/or insurance ability/disability determination. CCPT provides written FCE reports and analyses required to make specific determinations regarding return-to-work and disability issues.
CCPT was the first in the New Orleans community to begin providing FCE services in 1985.

CCPT offers a variety of worksite training and educational programs and can develop courses to meet your company’s specific safety and ergonomic needs.
Work Conditioning
CCPT's Work Conditioning program helps injured workers to increase strength and endurance while building a foundation of knowledge about basic body mechanics and safe work behavior.
WorkSTEPS (Pre-employment Testing)
CCPT has been an authorized WorkSTEPS clinical provider for 20 years. CCPT's clinical experise and assessment accuity has assisted New Orleans-area employers reduce work injuries (over 50%) and associated employer's costs (employee turnover, lost time, workers compensation insurance premiums, and fraud & abuse), as well as significantly enhancing employee safety. CCPT's employee testing programs and protocals are reliable, medically and legally defensible, and based on objective data conforming with EEOC and ADA guidelines.
